Gold Necklace
Yesterday as I was jogging, my gold necklace came loose and I almost lost it. Luckily, the gold was cool because I was running and when it fell, I felt it slide down my skin. Immediately the gold necklace fell through my shirt and on to the ground. I felt it fall, and stopped to turn around and pick it up. I was so grateful that I hadn’t lost it, because I knew that no one would have ever turned it in to the police as missing.
The gold necklace has a great amount of sentimental value to me. My daughter and husband ordered it for me this past Christmas online. It was my daughter’s first online purchase, and they gave me the two small hearts because they said that it represented their hearts and that when I wore the gold necklace, I could always know they were by my side. My husband told me that our daughter had come up with that idea on her own, which made it even more special coming from a ten year old. Since that day, I’ve never taken off the necklace, so I guess the clasp had come loose. Needless to say, I’m taking the gold necklace to the jeweler this morning so I can get it repaired.
