skin creamLiving in the desert southwest, you have to use lotions and skin cream. Growing-up my mom was always telling me, “protect your skin, wear hats and don’t lay out in the sun.” Telling a teen-ager that whose main spring and summer purpose was to get a tan fell on deaf ears. Plus, I never looked good in hats. Now, that I am older and wiser, I do take care of myself with skin cream. It is never too late to start this important part of our daily routine. Of course, all skin cream products should have sun protection in them that is key. I do have sun spots on my face and arms resulting from my sun-drenched youth. Now, I don’t leave the house without sunscreen skin cream on me and while I am gardening, I do wear a hat. Know your skin type and what your skin needs to get the most benefit from your product. Whether you need more moisture, fighting aging skin or protection, skin cream use everyday is important. I should’ve listened to my mother.
